Of course, what’s a week at Smithtopia without the Friday YouTube Digest? Last Friday, you got treated to some great videos and a few bonus videos, but this week, I believe I’ll return to the normal 5 video format. So let’s not waste any time.
This week’s digest includes a great Kiefer Sutherland voiceover commercial, some Star Wars humor, and a great new video from The Piano Guys. Hopefully these videos will be enjoyable, and it really does feel great to post the digest once more. If you have suggestions for future videos, leave them in the comments, or tweet me @ethandsmith. With that said, enjoy the videos!
1. Kiefer Sutherland Axe Commercial
Now normally, I think Axe commercials are all extremely stupid. The product is awful too, in my opinion. But when this video showed up on the front page of Reddit, it piqued my interest just because I’m a huge 24 fan, and Kiefer Sutherland is awesome in anything, so I watched with extreme intrigue as the commercial unfolded, and I think you’ll be mesmerized by it also.
2. Star Wars Call Me Maybe
Yes, I know. And I’m sorry. We all hate it now. That song by Carly Rae Jepsen. But seriously, don’t watch it if you don’t want to, but since I’m a huge Star Wars fan, I thought I’d include this in the digest. It’s extremely humorous, so Star Wars fan or not, here’s a great (debatable) version of Call Me Maybe
3. The Piano Guys- One Direction, “What Makes You Beautiful”
The Piano Guys have done it again. Their music never ceases to amaze me, and this new video does not disappoint. This video really needs no introduction, just click play and enjoy the amazing music.
4. Spice Girls Wannabe Lipsync
For this week’s fourth video, we go back several years to the YouTube archive and pull out a great lipsync video which was one of my favorite videos to watch back when I had just discovered how great YouTube is. These guys do such a great job at this until the girl comes in and ruins it, but oh well, it’s definitely worth a watch, and hopefully it will bring you a few laughs.
5. How to Catch a Kangaroo
For the last video of the digest, I found a great video that describes how to catch a kangaroo, so you don’t have to go watch National Geographic or the Discovery Channel any more, because this guy will show you how in 3 easy steps.
As always, I hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s videos, and if you have any suggestions for videos in future Friday YouTube Digests, feel free to submit them via the Contact page, or tweet @ethandsmith. Have a great weekend!
