And so my first year of college has come to an end. (cue the gifs)
I find myself at home now, typing this post, on much slower Internet I might add, and the realization hasn’t quite hit me yet that I don’t have class any more this semester. I’m finished. Checked out of the dorm about an hour and a half ago and made the hour drive home. And I must say, yesterday after I finished my chemistry exam (which took 2 and a half hours btw), I had the best feeling in the world knowing that I had no more classes or finals. It was the best, and it still is. But to stop and think that already one year of college has gone by- it’s quite absurd. I’ll go back in the fall as a sophomore, knowing that just a short year before I had begun college, which was a new and totally amazing experience. Now it’s my life for at least the next three years.
But enough rambling, I really am excited that I’ve finished my freshman year. It’s been a great experience, all of my classes, while difficult, have increased my knowledge in many areas, and hopefully I was able to finish well on my finals. I guess we’ll find out in the coming days, and don’t worry, I’ll be sure to post about how I finished grade-wise.
In other news, I am now out for the summer, which means you can expect regular content again. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, there will be a new post on Smithtopia for you to read, enjoy, and share with friends. This will count as the Wednesday post for this week, so you can expect at least one post on Friday as I’ve found some good videos for the Friday YouTube Digest.
In closing, I would like to wish all of the college students finishing up a great summer, whether you’re taking classes or not, and to everyone else, I wish you the best heading into your summer also. I must say it feels good to have no worries about tests or finals for a while, and although I’m glad for the break, I’m looking forward to returning to college in the fall.
